TaBar Restaurant: A Fresh Two-Floor Dining Experience

TaBar is beginning an exciting new chapter at the Rog Centre, where they’ll continue to evolve, thrive and enchant guests with their diverse offerings. The new space spans two distinct floors: the vibrant BAR on the lower level and the refined TA on the upper.

TaBar Restaurant: A Fresh Two-Floor Dining Experience

BAR’s concept stays true to TaBar’s roots, offering relaxed bar gastronomy with single-component, uncomplicated dishes that pair effortlessly with a playful yet refined wine list. Designed for sharing, this setting encourages guests to explore a variety of wines alongside small, shareable bites.

The wine selection focuses on organic, biodynamic and local wines sourced within 150 km of Ljubljana, showcasing TaBar's strength in offering an extensive selection of wines by the glass for enthusiasts seeking variety.

Upstairs at TA, the vision expands with a menu that embraces more avant-garde, complex creations. Chef Jakob Pintar, a fisherman, forager and hunter, channels his diverse passions into dishes that are both inventive and deeply rooted in nature. Hence the TA philosophy: from forest to field, river and sea

The multi-course experience includes unique wine pairings distinct from those at BAR, featuring wines selected for their complexity and depth.

Designed by Ansambel, with interiors by Dan Adlešič and graphics by Nejc Prah, TaBar at Rog Centre blends urban sophistication with natural elements. The design pays homage to Jože Plečnik, integrating concrete, black wood, and carved elements that echo Plečnik’s Czech Cubist influence. Forest undergrowth and edible plants bring a touch of wilderness into the modern urban setting, mirroring the kitchen’s ethos: a culinary journey from nature to plate.
