St. Martin's Day in Maribor: A Celebration of Wine and Culinary Delights

This year taking place from November 8 to 11, the celebration of St. Martin's Day is the largest festival of its kind in Slovenia, attracting visitors from near and far to the lively heart of the country's vibrant second-largest city. 

The Feast of St. Martin in Maribor stands as the most significant public celebration of its kind in Slovenia, attracting up to 20,000 visitors from both Slovenia and abroad. This year, the 39th edition will take place from Friday, November 8, to Monday, November 11.

The vibrant festivities will take centre stage along Koroška cesta on Friday and Saturday, November 8 and 9, culminating in a grand celebration at Leon Štukelj Square on Monday, November 11. On Sunday, November 10, the Šempeter Malečnik Ruperče Tourist Board will also host a St. Martin's Day celebration in the nearby town of Malečnik.

The event will showcase around 70 local wine and gastronomy suppliers. Beginning today, St. Martin's dishes will be available from local providers in Maribor and the surrounding areas.
