Serenity Slovenia: Multi-Day Event for International Media

Following the success of two multi-day events – with the first focusing on arts and culture and the second one on gastronomy – the Slovenian Tourist Board, in partnership with premier Slovenian destinations, renowned spa resorts, and other key tourism providers, is hosting the multi-day event titled Serenity Slovenia: A Journey to Well-Being. This event highlights Slovenia's holistic wellness offer, inviting foreign media to experience the country's commitment to well-being, relaxation, and sustainable tourism.

The event welcomes 11 esteemed representatives from diverse markets: Croatia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and the USA. Among the participants are renowned publications and platforms like Jutarnji list, Display Magazine, Märkischer Sonntag, I Newspaper, Dynamic Seniors, Flair, Wellness Spots, El Correo, Cronica Vasca, FIRST for Women, Taste and Travel Magazine, JohnnyJet.com, and others.

By exploring the story of the four natural elements – fire, air, water, and earth – participants will be introduced to a wide array of experiences and providers. Through this journey, they’ll discover how Slovenia's pristine nature, unique experiences and world-class cuisine can reinvigorate the senses and why a wellness retreat in Slovenia is more than just relaxation, but rather a transformative experience, where every element contributes to holistic well-being.

FIRE: The journey began with an unforgettable opening day in Ljubljana with a dinner at the renowned JB restaurant and an overnight at the elegant Occidental Ljubljana hotel. The next day, the experience transitioned to the pristine Savinja Valley. The first highlight was a visit to Hiša Raduha in Luče, where traditional flavours meet a deep-rooted connection to the local culture, community and environment. From there, the adventure continued to the breathtaking Logar Valley, where guests stayed at Hotel Plesnik, known for its newly launched gastronomic offerings under the mentorship of Janez Bratovž, a pioneer in Slovenian haute cuisine. The day concluded with a magical torchlit hike, setting the perfect stage for the introduction of the first natural element – fire.

AIR: On the second day, the focus shifted to the invigorating power of air and its influence on well-being. The day began with a scenic walk along the ancient walls of the Žička Kartuzija, a historical gem near Slovenjske Konjice. After a delightful lunch at Slovenia's oldest inn, Gastuž 1467, the journey led to the Treetop Walk Pohorje, offering a spectacular view from the treetops. Guests will end their day in the tranquil surroundings of the Rogla mountain resort, a year-round destination renowned for both its summer and winter offerings, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation.

LAND & WATER: The last day will reveal the beauty of the wine-growing landscapes, where fertile soil nourishes the vines that produce the grapes for Slovenia's exceptional wines. After a visit to the Zlati gric winery, journalists will stop at the Michelin-starred Gostilna Repovž before continuing on to Dolenjske Toplice, where they will learn about the beneficial effects of relaxation and mindfulness programmes.
