Slovakia's Young Creatives Capture Hearts: 'Love-correct' Wins Young Drummers Competition

This year, the competition for young creatives, supported by the Slovenian Tourist Board as part of the Golden Drum festival, invited creatives to fall in love with Slovenia. The winning solution comes from Slovakia.

 

Slovakia's Young Creatives Capture Hearts: 'Love-correct' Wins Young Drummers Competition

Golden Drum, a conference dedicated to creativity, concluded with a gala evening in Portorož and an announcement of the winners and a presentation of awards. For several years, the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) has actively participated in a special competition category Young Drummers aimed at nurturing young creative talents.

The creative challenge for this year’s competition was to design an innovative and inspiring visual invitation to discover Slovenia, presented in the form of a poster or a series of posters. The contest, titled "You can't spell Slovenia without love, and that is why you must love it," encouraged creators to utilize artificial intelligence as a source of inspiration.

The challenge sparked an impressive range of ideas, attracting 71 submissions from around the globe. The expert jury included Özga Güven, design director at TBWA in Istanbul; Csaba Gosztonyi, head of MOME Open at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest; Teodor Nisbel Fjäll, art director at Uncommon Creative Studio in Sweden; and Tina Sračnjek and Aleksandra Lipej from the content digital marketing department of the Slovenian Tourist Board.

The jury awarded the top prize to the creative solution "Love-correct," conceived by Nicoletta Gulíšek and Matúš Kollárik from the Istopolitana Ogilvy agency in Slovakia.

The creators explained their concept:

"When we experience something exciting, we naturally want to share it with our loved ones. While traveling abroad, these cherished moments often find their way into short text messages. This series of posters communicates that falling in love with Slovenia is inevitable, as autocorrect insists on transforming 'Slovenia' into 'Love.' Through this playful twist, we not only share our experiences but also invite our friends and relatives to immerse themselves in the rich and diverse culture of Slovenia—because, truly, you can't spell it without love."
