At the recent Summer Games in Paris, Slovenia's largest Olympic team to date showcased its talent, achieving remarkable success with three medals: two golds for judoka Andreja Leški and climber Janja Garnbret, and a silver for Toni Vodišek in formula kite. With a total of 21 gold, 27 silver, and 31 bronze medals in individual sports, Slovenia ranks among the top nations for Olympic achievements per capita.

Uniting Sports and Tourism

What fuels this remarkable success? A vibrant blend of passion, community support and a culture that prioritizes health and fitness permeates every aspect of life in Slovenia. This commitment to nurturing talent at all levels ensures that aspiring athletes receive the encouragement and resources they need to thrive.

In light of this spirit, the first-ever joint campaign was launched between the Slovenian Olympic Committee and the Slovenian Tourist Board, aimed at promoting Slovenia by intertwining sports and tourism. Through inspiring messages from top athletes, the campaign encourages everyone to discover their own interpretations of what makes this small nation –home to just two million citizens – a formidable powerhouse in global competitions, consistently ranking among the highest medal winners per capita.
