Tourism Panel at the Bled Strategic Forum Focuses on the Power of Data

The 19th Bled Strategic Forum will be held in Bled on September 2-3, with a special focus on the evolving role of data in tourism. The panel titled The Power of Data: Shaping Tomorrow's Tourism will take place on Tuesday, September 3, at the Grand Hotel Toplice. The panel is organized by the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) in partnership with the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport.

The Bled Strategic Forum is the premier event in Central and South-Eastern Europe, held annually in the scenic Alpine setting of Lake Bled at the end of summer. This conference brings together experts from a range of fields to exchange ideas and address current and future challenges. It also provides a unique platform for tailored meetings and networking opportunities with both regional and global stakeholders. This year's tourism panel will delve into the transformative potential of data in shaping the future of tourism.

As the tourism sector enters a new era, the importance of sustainable growth and responsible travel has never been greater. The panel will explore how data can redefine success in tourism beyond traditional economic metrics, highlighting the role of technology in enhancing guest experiences, optimizing destination management and driving the digital transformation of the industry.

  • Erwin Hinteregger – Director General, IDM, Italy
  • Dubravka Kalin – Director General, Directorate for Tourism, Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport, Slovenia
  • MSc. Apolonija Oblak Flander – Director General, Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia

The panel discussion will be moderated by Martina Gojkošek, Head of Corporate Communications at the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB).
