STB Champions Safe and Responsible Mountain Visits Through Dynamic Social Media Campaigns

During the summer tourist season, the Slovenian Tourist Board prioritizes creating and sharing content focused on ensuring safe and enjoyable experiences for all visitors to the Slovenian mountains.
STB Champions Safe and Responsible Mountain Visits Through Dynamic Social Media Campaigns

The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) has strenghtened its social media communication efforts to promote safe and responsible behaviour in the mountains. In June, the STB shared guidelines for safe mountain visits and these initiatives have since been expanded and intensified.

Together with the Association of Mountain Guides of Slovenia, the STB has created a number of video contents on the TikTok @turizemjezakon channel. These videos not only encourage safe practices among hikers and mountain visitors but also educate viewers about the mountain guiding profession.

 

Recognizing the power of social media in raising awareness, the STB uses its platforms to highlight the importance of safe mountain visits. Each social media post is meticulously designed to link back to the dedicated landing page on slovenia.info and is tailored to fit the specific platform it’s posted on.

Through these efforts, the STB aims to reach a broad audience, encouraging them to act responsibly and thoughtfully when selecting hiking trails to avoid potential hazards. According to analytics, the video posts have already engaged over 200,000 social media users.

Additionally, the STB is promoting the Safe to the Mountains landing page through sponsored social media ads, which have generated more than 1.8 million impressions to date.

 

Sharing reliable information, practical tips and crucial warnings about safe behaviour in the mountains is a top priority for the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB). By working with various stakeholders, the STB ensures that hiking trails remain safe for all visitors while also contributing to the preservation of the natural environment. The STB extends its gratitude to partner institutions and the creative teams at DD studios and 916hub for their invaluable assistance in content preparation.
