Destination Spotlight: Exploring Vibrant Host Destinations of the Tour of Slovenia

It's not just the cyclists who are in the spotlight during the Tour of Slovenia; the vibrant destinations along the race route are also stepping into focus. From historic towns to rejuvenating spa resorts, these destinations play a pivotal role in this cycling spectacle. Join us as we embark on a journey to explore them.

As many as 46 Slovenian destinations will host five stages of this year's edition of the Tour of Slovenia. To enhance the experience, the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) has distributed over 22,000 green "I Feel Slovenia" flags, adding to the excitement of the race for the green jersey.

Stage 1

Starting today, June 12, the race kicks off from Murska Sobota and finishes in Ormož, taking cyclists through the scenic Pannonian plains and into neighbouring Croatia, Hungary, and Austria. This marks the first time in 20 years that the race links up all these countries.
