Celebrating 170 Years of Thermana Laško

In honour of celebrating 170 years since the discovery of Laško thermal water, Thermana Laško, together with Laško Museum, presents the thematic exhibition "170 Years in a Well-being Society". This exhibition offers an exciting journey through the history of Thermana Laško, showcasing the unique properties of Laško thermal water that have contributed to the health and well-being of countless individuals over the years.

Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to delve into the rich history of Thermana Laško, gaining insights into the transformative properties of Laško thermal water. Additionally, guests can experience the spa through the eyes of children from the Primož Trubar Laško Primary School, whose artistic interpretations pay homage to this occasion. Moreover, the exhibition features an audio component, featuring memories shared by former employees, providing a nostalgic glimpse into the spa's past.

19TH EDITION OF I FEEL SLOVENIA THERMANA OPEN

In parallel to the celebration, Thermana Laško proudly hosts the I Feel Slovenia Thermana Open, the world's largest table tennis tournament for athletes with disabilities. Athletes from 45 countries have gathered in Laško (the event takes place 7–11 May)  to compete in this prestigious event, showcasing the town's commitment to inclusivity and accessible tourism. Recognized for its commitment to inclusivity, the town earned the prestigious EDEN title in 2013.

The  I Feel Slovenia Thermana Open tournament, now in its 19th consecutive year, underscores the enduring success and growth of this remarkable sporting event.

This article marks the beginning of an exciting collaboration with The Association of Slovenian Natural Spas (SSNZ), of which Thermana Laško proudly holds membership. Serving as a unified platform, the association brings together top 12 Slovenian spas, which focus on utilizating natural therapeutic elements such as thermal waters, potable mineral waters, sea water, salt pan mud and more. The association leads the way in pioneering New Age tourism while upholding traditional standards of preventive and curative healthcare.
