In this article, Michelin delves into Slovenia's green soul, highlighting two exceptional restaurants: Gostilna Vovko in Brusnice and Ošterija Debeluh in Brežice. Gostilna Vovko, a restaurant with nearly 50 years of tradition, offers traditional Dolenjska dishes with a focus on quality ingredients. It was founded in 1977 by Marina and Anton Vovko and is now overseen by Rok Vovko, who continues the family legacy of celebrating local cuisine and hospitality. With a focus on traditional products of Lower Carniola (Dolenjska), the restaurant prides itself on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and meals prepared with care.
