You are also invited to visit the newly renovated Avsenik museum in Begunje na Gorenjskem, where their restaurant is also located. It offers an immersive journey through the era of Vilko and Slavko Avsenik's musical legacy. Spanning three levels, the first floor is dedicated to Vilko and Slavko Avsenik themselves. Continuing the journey, the museum showcases a graphic depiction of the ensemble's entire history, intertwining captivating stories of individual members. Of particular significance is the homage paid to the iconic composition "Na Golici," celebrated as a cornerstone of their repertoire. Enhancing the experience, multimedia touchscreens dynamically complement music and video clips, providing an interactive exploration of the Avsenik phenomenon.

The Avsenik Brothers Ensemble (Slovene: Ansambel bratov Avsenik) stands as a cornerstone of Slovenian musical heritage, forged by the visionary brothers Slavko Avsenik and Vilko Avsenik in 1953 in Begunje na Gorenjskem. Together, they crafted a repertoire of approximately 1000 songs, with Slavko composing all the music and Vilko expertly arranging it as an academic composer. Did you know that  "Na Golici" is considered the most widely played instrumental songs globally?
