Last year in spring, Historic Towns of Slovenia and the Slovenian Museums Association launched The By Train to Historic Towns campaign, which promotes train (and bus*) travel as an environmentally friendly and comfortable travel option, and encourages (domestic) visitors to take advantage of public transport to give up their cars and help keep the environment cleaner. All Slovenian Museums Association members in the historic towns and affiliated institutions from other towns will grant visitors a 20% discount on regular ticket prices to cultural institutions upon presenting a ticket valid on the day of the visit.
