Tomaž Kavčič, the fourth-generation caterer, draws inspiration from cherished childhood memories, his mother and mother-in-law's legacies, and deep respect for Vipava Valley traditions. Guided by his Nono's (nono is a grandfather in the dialect of the area) teachings on quality local ingredients, Tomaž personally selects and crafts each dish with creative flair. While his creations may undergo playful transformations, taste remains paramount. For Tomaž, the essence lies in fostering genuine connections, embodying Slovenians' warmth, authenticity, and approachability.

His restaurant, Gostilna pri Lojzetu, proudly boasts a Michelin star, four Gault&Millau caps, and a spot in the 50 Best Discovery for Slovenia. It was also the first in Slovenia to earn the prestigious Slovenia Green Cuisine label, reflecting its commitment to sustainable practices.
