Feel Slovenia Podcasts: a celebration of audio excellence on World Radio Day

World Radio Day is celebrated annually on February 13. Established by UNESCO in 2011, this day highlights the importance of radio as a medium for communication, information and cultural expression, while also promoting international cooperation in supporting radio broadcasting.

Radio and podcasts share a deep connection in their essence of audio broadcasting. Both serve as platforms for delivering content, whether it's news, entertainment, storytelling, or educational material. In recent years, many radio stations have embraced podcasting as an extension of their programming, repurposing radio shows into podcast episodes or creating exclusive content for digital distribution. Conversely, podcasters often draw inspiration from radio formats and techniques, adapting their styles to suit the more intimate and niche-oriented nature of podcasting. Despite their differences, both thrive on the power of audio storytelling.

Feel Slovenia the podcast is the official podcast of the Slovenian Tourist Board and gold winner of the international Golden City Gate Award. Since its debut in January 2022, the podcast has garnered a impressive 13,235 downloads been on an inspiring journey, showcasing its growing popularity and the genuine interest it has sparked among listeners worldwide.
