In terms of of digital communication targeting the Chinese audience, the STB, in collaboration with a chosen partner, curates content on the Slovenia.info portal in Chinese and manages social media networks, recently revamped after the pandemic.

Given the unique characteristics of the Chinese market and the landscape of social networks, meticulous coordination and consistency in the STB's activities become imperative. The Chinese version of Slovenia.info serves as a promotional hub for Slovenia's tourism offerings, drawing an impressive 50,000 monthly page views and an average of 16,000 unique visitors. Key pages encompass Bled, gastronomy and border formalities, with notable traffic also directed towards content about Ljubljana and Postojna Cave. Geographically, Shanghai boasts the highest visitor count, closely followed by Guangdong and Beijing.

Active engagement on Chinese social networks—Weibo, WeChat and Little Red Book—ensures a consistent online presence. With 10 monthly posts on each platform, featuring links to the Slovenia.info website in Chinese, alongside updated photo and video content, the STOB reaches over 100,000 monthly impressions within the Chinese target market

The Embassy of Slovenia in Beijing closely monitors these activities, offering thematic suggestions for publications tied to the promotion of Slovenia in China, with a focus on topics such as Plečnik's heritage.
