60th Golden Fox in Kranjska Gora

This weekend, Kranjska Gora hosts the 60th Golden Fox, a celebrated tradition in the Women's Alpine Skiing World Cup. With 60 years of history, it attracts great international media attention and serves as a prime opportunity to showcase Slovenia as a tourist destinationa and as home of top athletes and also to highlight the I Feel Slovenia brand.

60th Golden Fox in Kranjska Gora

Golden Fox is an iconic event, considered South-Eastern Europe's largest ski spectacle. Its 60th edition, taking place on January 6 and 7 in Kranjska Gora, anticipates participation from 95 giant slalom and 82 slalom competitors representing 27 countries. The event will attract visitors from all around the world, especially from Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Croatia and Slovakia.

Renowned female alpine skiers will compete for giant slalom points on Saturday, with the first run beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by the final runs three hours later. Sunday features slalom, starting at 9:30 a.m. for the first run and concluding at 12:30 p.m.

SPIRIT Slovenia, as the main partner, underscores the nation's sporting prowess, innovation, and sustainability at this prestigious event, emphasizing Slovenia's role on the global stage. Tomaž Šušteršič, the general secretary of the 60th Golden Fox, expresses excitement about the event's 60th anniversary in Kranjska Gora, showcasing Slovenia's dedication to reviving the competition's former glory.

Visitors can enjoy a rich accompanying program, including performances by renowned Slovenian bands and singers. Tickets for the 60th Golden Fox are available on Eventim, and free buses are organized for convenient transportation to and from the venue.
