In Postojna Cave, the spotlight in December is on the 33rd edition of the live nativity scene, which transforms the cave into the grandest Christmas and New Year spectacle in Slovenia, enchanting visitors from December 25 to 30, daily from 13:30.

The comprehensive ticket offers a journey through the Living Nativity, enchanting visitors from December 25 to 30, daily from 13:30, features 18 biblical scenes set across 5 kilometres of stunning underground halls, a ride on the legendary cave train, a tour of the classic Postojna Cave, encounters with the human fish, and a melodic experience with concerts and instrumental performances.

Visitors also enjoy a 50% discount on all other attractions in the Park, including Predjama Castle, the Expo, and the Vivarium. The 90-minute Living Nativity tour caters to families with small children, complemented by a vibrant accompanying program featuring Christmas stalls and discounted tours of other attractions.

This year, the Living Nativity in Postojna Cave boasts an exceptional international singing lineup, presenting traditional Christmas hits by renowned artists from Italy and the local community, including Raiven, Slovenia's representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. She is portraying Archangel Gabriel in the Annunciation scene atop the Great Mountain (Velika gora), captivating hearts with the powerful Ave Maria.

The grandeur of this annual Christmas spectacle is a result of year-round efforts, involving meticulous planning, numerous performances, lighting and sound effects, safety measures, and costume design. A hundred performers, chosen through auditions in October, embody the roles of Josephs, Marys, shepherds, angels, soldiers, Zechariah, Elizabeth, and the Holy Three Kings, converging to create an unparalleled experience at the Living Nativity in Postojna Cave.
