Slovenia and Ljubljana triumph in Wanderlust's prestigious Reader Travel Awards

Slovenia and its captivating capital, Ljubljana, have achieved top honours, thanks to the readers of Wanderlust. During a distinguished event held in London on Tuesday, Wanderlust magazine unveiled its prestigious Reader Travel Awards. Slovenia secured the 7th position in the highly coveted category of the most desirable European destinations, while Ljubljana claimed an impressive 9th place in the category of the most desirable European cities.

Wanderlust, a renowned UK travel magazine with a strong 30-year legacy, has long highlighted the importance of sustainable tourism. For over two decades, they have been honouring exceptional destinations through their Reader Travel Awards.

The spotlight on Slovenia in Wanderlust magazine is not a mere coincidence. In a notable example from the end of May this year, Steve Fallon wrote an article titled "A short break guide: the Julian Alps, Slovenia", offering a treasure trove of ideas for unforgettable experiences. The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) also orchestrated a successful joint promotional campaign with the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) in collaboration with Wanderlust. These accolades underscore the enduring appeal of Slovenia and the timeless charm of Ljubljana on the international travel stage.
