Slovenia, often referred to as a land of healthy and clean waters, stands out as one of the most water-abundant European nations, with exceptionally high-quality drinking water. No wonder that the right to drinking water was incorporated as a distinct human right within The Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia. Prior to this pivotal amendment, the right to drinking water was considered an integral component of the right to a healthy living environment. This constitutional change not only reflects Slovenia's commitment to safeguarding the fundamental well-being of its citizens but also signifies the global recognition of access to clean, safe drinking water as a modern and essential human right.
