Luxair to launch Ljubljana-Luxembourg flights in September

Ljubljana Airport is set to enhance its flight network with a new addition from Luxair in the upcoming summer schedule. Starting from September 14, Luxair will inaugurate a convenient twice-weekly service connecting Ljubljana and Luxembourg. With a total of 23 direct connections from Ljubljana Airport travellers will enjoy increased accessibility.

Luxembourg, renowned as one of the world's wealthiest countries, enthralls visitors with its cosmopolitan ambiance, captivating historical heritage, and stunning natural landscapes. Luxair will launch this highly anticipated connection on September 14. This new route not only strengthens economic bonds between Slovenia and Luxembourg but also unlocks boundless opportunities for travellers to explore two European treasures. Flights to the Luxembourg capital will be available twice a week, departing every Thursday and Sunday.

Tickets for this exciting route are now on sale through Luxair's website, with promotional fares starting from €99 for a round-trip ticket. The promotional ticket sales will conclude on July 14.

Wizz Air to launch new service to Skopje in September

Marking an exciting addition to the summer schedule, Wizz Air is set to introduce low-cost flights to Skopje starting in the last week of September. Passengers will have the opportunity to fly to Macedonia twice a week, with flights scheduled every Wednesday and Sunday.

Ljubljana Airport has already expanded its list of destinations for the summer season, offering a diverse range of options. Travelers can now enjoy scheduled flights to eight remarkable cities:

  • Athens with Aegean Airlines,
  • London (Heathrow) with British Airways,
  • Amsterdam with Transavia,
  • Paris (Orly) with Transavia France,
  • Helsinki with Finnair,
  • Pristina with GP Airlines,
  • Tel Aviv with Israir Airlines/El Al/Sundor
  • Tivat with Air Montenegro.

With enhanced flight frequencies to major hubs, travel options to destinations across the globe have been significantly improved. Lufthansa has also increased its flights to Frankfurt, providing up to three daily flights, including early morning departures. More frequent flights are also available to Istanbul, Paris, Warsaw, and Brussels throughout the summer schedule.

Exciting flight options in the summer timetable

Passengers at Ljubljana Airport can look forward to an array of flight options in the summer timetable, with a total of 23 scheduled services provided by 19 carriers. Here are the flight frequencies for each destination:

  • Air Serbia: Up to twice daily to Belgrade and twice weekly to Niš.
  • Aegean Airlines: Twice weekly to Athens.
  • Brussels Airlines: Six times weekly to Brussels.
  • flydubai: Four times a week to Dubai.
  • Finnair: Four times weekly to Helsinki.
  • Lufthansa: Up to three times daily to Frankfurt and daily to Munich.
  • Turkish Airlines: Up to twice daily to Istanbul.
  • easyJet: Up to six times weekly to London Gatwick.
  • British Airways: Six times weekly to London Heathrow.
  • Wizz Air: Twice weekly to London Luton and twice weekly to Skopje.
  • Transavia: Up to four times a week to Amsterdam.
  • Transavia France: Twice weekly to Paris Orly.
  • Air France: 11 times weekly to Paris.
  • Israir/El Al/Sundor: Up to five times weekly to Tel Aviv.
  • Air Montenegro: Three times a week to Podgorica and four times a week to Tivat (alternating connections).
  • LOT Polish Airlines: Nine times weekly to Warsaw.
  • SWISS Airlines: Nine times weekly to Zurich.
  • GP Aviation: Twice weekly to Pristina.
