Champion skier Ilka Štuhec invites you to EYOF 2023 and Maribor
Ilka Štuhec, a renowned Alpine skier and the ambassador of Slovenian tourism, explores Maribor in the latest Feel Slovenia Facebook Live Video, reflecting on EYOF taking place 23-29 July.
In the video clip, Ilka Štuhec invites you to visit Maribor and Slovenia. She will also take part in this year's Slovenian Advertising Festival (SOF) and in partnership with the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) present her exciting story as an alpine skier and ambassador of Slovenian tourism.
EYOF is dedicated to young athletes from all over Europe who have the opportunity to experience the Olympic spirit at a young age. The festival has a tradition of more than 30 years and is one of the most important competitions for young people aged 14-18. The event has also been the first step for many well-known elite athletes who have gone on to shine at the Olympic Games and win medals at international competitions. They include ski jumpers Peter Prevc, Timi Zajc and Nika Križnar, swimmers Anja Klinar and Blaž Medvešek, athletes Matic Osovnikar and Brigita Langerholc, handball players Vid Kavtičnik, Blaž Janc and Urh Kastelic, volleyball player Dejan Vinčič, judo players Adrian Gomboc and Kaja Kajzer, and many others.
EYOF Maribor 2023 will also be a great opportunity to promote Maribor as a sports and tourism destination.
