New boutique hotel in the Karst region: Pira

After Ana and Robert Čebokelj and their colleagues recently toasted the 24th anniversary of the opening of their first restaurant, Avio Pub, at Postojna Airport, they are opening the doors of the boutique hotel Pira in Hruševje near Postojna. Pira is a modern tourist accommodation with a restaurant, accommodating up to 18 guests in six unique suites, a studio, an apartment and a villa.

The restored old farmhouse, which dates back to the 1700s, now houses six prestigiously furnished, spacious accommodations, characterised by natural materials and the warmth of wood. The farmhouse is a protected cultural heritage site, which made the renovation all the more challenging. All the important parts have been preserved, from the original black kitchen, which has been given a new lease of life with modern elements, to the bread oven, which guests in the apartment will be able to use to prepare meals and bake homemade bread.

The estate also features Pira Restaurant. It is located in a newly built building next to the farmhouse. The restaurant on the ground floor caters for both hotel and outside guests. The upstairs guest lounge can easily be converted into a space for various presentations, business and social gatherings. The basement of the new building will soon be transformed into a wellness area.

A special feature of the hotel is the 7000 square metre garden, which will be planted with green spears, flowers, herbs and other plants, as well as fruit trees. An outdoor swimming pool will soon be added to the hotel's offer.
