A new long-distance hiking trail in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps

In the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, a new long-distance circular route has been develop. The 190-kilometre-long trail named Water Trails of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps connects not only water springs, waterfalls, rivers and lakes, but also other natural and cultural attractions in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. It is divided into 11 stages with an average length of just over 17 kilometres. An additional stage provides access, either on foot or by bicycle, from Ljubno ob Savinji past the mountain farms to Luče. It leads hikers along existing trails and offers the opportunity to taste fresh water straight from the spring and to feel the water richness of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Along the route, you will have a chance to see 4 rivers, 3 lakes, more than 100 springs and streams.
