Slovenia is in the Eurovision finals. Vote for Joker Out!

Joker Out is an extremely popular Slovenian band. This year, they have been selected to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest. The members – Bojan Cvjetićanin (vocals, guitar), Kris Guštin (guitar), Jan Peteh (guitar), Nace Jordan (bass) and Jure Maček (drums) – premiered the song, Carpe Diem, in a special show. At the semi-finals, the song Carpe Diem was performed in the Slovenian language and they successfully qualified for the finals.

What is the song all about? Carpe Diem...

The boys’ first priority was to come up with a song they liked and to stay true to themselves. The message of the song entitled Carpe Diem is simple: whatever life throws at you, music and dance are always the answer. The video of the song was shot in the disused Stol factory in Kamnik and at the Union Hotel in Ljubljana.

Interesting facts

  • Have you seen Joker Out performing at the semi-finals? Did you know that the members of the band combined their outfits with elegant Idrija lace accessories, which made them stand out from the crowd? Did you know that back in 2018 traditional Slovenia’s bobbin lace-making was also put on UNESCO’s intangible heritage list?
  • Not so long ago, Joker Out had an exclusive performance in Postojna Cave, the largest Slovenian show cave.
