Slovenia Green Documentary among the winners at the South African International Film Festival

The Slovenia Green promotional documentary was awarded gold in the Country category. This is the first documentary produced by the STB in cooperation with Karata Film, and in 28 minutes comprehensively explains green orientation of Slovenian tourism and the actions of tourism stakeholders in practice. The focus of the promotional documentary is the Slovenia Green Gourmet Route, which connects the stories of Slovenia Green label holders and presents sustainability through the eyes of locals, destination representatives and tourism providers. The film takes you on Aljaž Tepina's cycling journey from Ljubljana to Soča Valley, Goriška Brda, Vipava Valley and Karst, and back through the capital to Sevnica, Podčetrtek, Ptuj and Maribor, revealing how Slovenia's green story lives in practice.

This year marked the 5th edition of the festival, which attracted 378 entries from 59 countries around the world. The aim of the festival has remained the same over the years: to showcase works with exceptionally innovative content on the theme of tourism destinations, products and services, created on all continents and broadcast on various platforms. The ITFFA aims to contribute to the promotion of the development and growth of the national and African audiovisual industry, while at the same time giving visibility and recognition to the work of many talented men and women and integrating them into the global creative community. Bringing global works together in one festival also helps to educate young people, for whom the festival organises a special thematic section.
