Finnair returns to Ljubljana Airport with flights to Helsinki

After three years, Finnair returns to Ljubljana Airport aon 10 April. It will connect Slovenia with Finland four times a week. In the summer timetable, 18 scheduled carriers will offer flights from Ljubljana to 21 destinations. A new addition will be Aegean Airlines to Athens in June.

Finnair is returning to Ljubljana Airport after a long interruption - the last time the Finnish carrier flew from Brnik was in October 2019. Finnair will also offer passengers good connections to Asia via its home airport Helsinki Vantaa. Flights will be available every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, departing from Ljubljana Airport at 09:25 and arriving in Helsinki at 13:05 local time, after a two-hour and 40-minute flight. Finnair will operate the flights with Airbus A319 aircraft.

In total, 21 scheduled flights with 18 carriers will be available at Ljubljana Airport in the summer timetable:

  • Air Serbia twice daily to Belgrade and twice weekly to Niš,
  • Aegean Airlines twice weekly to Athens,
  • Brussels Airlines six times a week to Brussels,
  • flydubai daily to Dubai,
  • Finnair four times weekly to Helsinki,
  • Lufthansa three times daily to Frankfurt and daily to Munich,
  • Turkish Airlines up to twice daily to Istanbul,
  • easyJet up to six times weekly to London Gatwick,
  • British Airways six times weekly to London Heathrow,
  • WizzAir three times weekly to London Luton,
  • Transavia up to four times weekly to Amsterdam,
  • Transavia France twice weekly to Paris, Orly,
  • Air France 11 times weekly to Paris,
  • Israir/El Al/Sundor up to five times weekly to Tel Aviv,
  • Air Montenegro three times weekly to Podgorica and four times weekly to Tivat (alternating connections),
  • LOT Polish Airlines nine times weekly to Warsaw,
  • SWISS Airlines nine times weekly to Zurich and
  • GP Aviation twice weekly to Pristina.

 

The flight forecasts to holiday destinations also point to a wide range of charter flights. The most popular destinations will once again be the Greek islands, Egypt, Turkey and Spain, for which an extended range of flights will be available (Vittoria, Santiago di Compostela, Barcelona, Seville and Girona). There will also be organised trips toMadeira and Portothe Azoresthe Faroe Islands and ScotlandIceland, Tenerife, Cape Verde, Cairo, Jordan, the Netherlands and Riga, with charters organised under the auspices of Slovenian travel agencies.
