SPORTO continues its series of special editions. Last year, the conference, which also hosted two of the most powerful personas in the world of football, Aleksander Čeferin and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, took place at Stožice footbal stadium in Ljubljana.

This year, the conference took place during the biggest international event in the history of the Republic of Slovenia, in the heart of the sporting battle, right next to the venue of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. Among the speakers was also Tina Maze, the ambassador of the I feel Slovenia brand.

Within the framework of this year's SPORTO conference, the Slovenian Tourist Board actively participated in the presentation of Slovenia as a sports tourism destination and a presentation of good practices with sports tourism ambassadors.

The event, which was attended by 350 participants and 13 speakers from 15 countries, including 40 media representatives from 11 countries, brought together a wide range of expert guests in the field of sports marketing.

The SPORTO Awards were also presented at the event. The seven-member expert jury recognised the best practices in sponsorship and marketing in sport in four categories. In the Best Sports Sponsorship category, the project Misija ledenik won, in two categories the project Volleyball on Ljubljanica won (Best Sports Event and Best Digital Communication), and in the Best Communication of Sports Entities category, the NFT Planica 2022 project took home the win.
