Kocbek oil mill's tourism product now holds Slovenia Unique Experience label

The Kocbek Oil Mill boasts a long family tradition of pumpkin oil production dating back to 1929. It is the family secrets that have been passed down from generation to generation. 

The multisensory experience of visiting and processing pumpkin oil in the Kocbek oil mill, which now boasts the Slovenia Unique Experiences label, will take guests back in time and unveil the secret of pumpkin seed oil production. On arrival, the guests will first taste some culinary delights and then proceed with a guided tour that will take them through the history of pumpkin-seed oil production and the meaning of the protected geographical indication. Guests will have a hands-on experience of the oil production process and witness the nobility of green gold. The tour will be followed by a get-together in the tasting rooms, where the full experience will be rounded off with the preparation of homemade culinary delights.

The Multisensory Hands-on Experience of Pumpkin Oil Processing has been classified as a member of the Slovenia Unique Experiences  by an expert jury under the auspices of the Slovenian Tourist Board. The Slovenia Unique Experience (SUE) quality brand have a defined concept, meet 10 sets of 5-Star criteria, and support the story of a green, boutique Slovenia and the I Feel Slovenia brand.
