The Melody of the Forest is the new Slovenia Unique Experience

The Melody of the Forest is a unique, original and authentic experience, which has joined the Slovenia Unique Experience family. It is an unpretentious, charming, intimate, profound and yet very intense experience of the forest, which subtly reminds us of how very alive, loud and fragile a forest system really is, if you listen it quietly. Through the experience, the forest is shown not as a material good, but as a unique, subtle cultural landscape. As a place of culture that teaches guests the art of relaxation.

What stands out is a great understanding of Pokljuka resonant wood, which foresters call "the Pokljuka gold" and therefore rank it as one of Slovenia's greatest natural treasures. The added value of the experience is the personal story of the guides, Maja and Grega Šilc. Maja was among the first in Slovenia to obtain a forest therapy guide certificate. She is also the daughter of the district forester Zdravko Cesar, one of the few masters who can still produce shingles in the Bohinj area and recognize the resonant spruce wood. On top of that, the experience allows you to enter the living space of both guides. On their estate, the disappearing handicraft skills of the local environment are revitalized, unveiling the cultural heritage of Bohinj.
