Union Café in the centre of Ljubljana has been revamped
The Union Café, which has represented an important gathering place in Ljubljana for more than 115 years, has now been given a new, refreshed look.

The Union café with the longest tradition in Slovenia is an important meeting place for intellectual, cultural, business and other representatives of society, but above all a place with an exceptional history. Now, the café continues its journey as a sophisticated get-together place with an expanded culinary offer, which now includes breakfasts as well as brunches, lunches and dinners.
During the renovation, the soul of the café was successfully preserved, as they retained many elements, including Thonet chairs, which are typical of Viennese Art Nouveau cafes. Since the opening in 1905, the Union Café has been a well-known gathering place for the citizens of Ljubljana. Throughout the 20th century, it was regularly visited by famous intellectuals, artists and bohemians. Guests went to Ljubljana's Art Nouveau café with high ceilings to read newspapers, debate, play chess and billiards. It was considered a quiet and peaceful intellectual environment. With the renovation, they wanted to revive a part of this rich culture and return the bourgeois pulse to Ljubljana's everyday life.
