NEW for foodies in Goriška Brda: Brdalicious

A new exciting local gastronomy story is being written in Goriška Brda. Brdalicious is a new label that connects local culinary providers from Goriška Brda exceling in serving seasonal local dishes. In the initial phase of the project, 10 local providers have already joined, but many more are expected to do so. "The goal is to establish a year-round product that will attract domestic and foreign guests and add value for both providers who work within it," says Tina Nova Samec, Director of the Brda Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports Institute.

The culinary masterpieces in Goriška Brda are based on a rich tradition from the area, which also the name itself implies: delicious from Brda. The area attracts more and more demanding domestic and foreign tourists who expect top service, which is why current trends in the naming of the product have been followed, highlighting the multi-layeredness and laying the foundations for high expectations. 

The first story to be written within the Brdalicious label is a two-month cycle of serving special dishes with typical Brda ingredients, such as white polenta, egg dish and potato gnocchi, as well as wild shoots. Typical Brda dishes with seasonal local produce will be the red thread of their plates throughout the year, enabling guests to experience this unique part of the world in an unforgettable way, which is also expressed in the slogan of the product: Ode to local food and joy. All year round.
