A unique dining experience near Maribor: A Table For 4 (Miza za štiri)

A Table for Four is a personalized culinary experience or, as often also referred to: "the smallest restaurant in Slovenia". The concept was developed six years ago in a small apartment in the centre of Maribor, which had a table with four chairs in the dining area. Hence also the name. The whole story began with the posting of photos of plates on social media and a multitude of completely unexpected calls from people who wanted to taste these dishes.

From the very beginning, the goal was to create an intimate culinary experience where the guest completely surrenders to the team and forget about time. The wish was that this experience could be enjoyed by a maximum of 12 people at a time, which was initially not possible, due to the limited space. Two years ago, the "restaurant" moved from Maribor to Zgornja Polskava (approx. 20 km from Maribor) to a bigger place, a very own house, which is now big enough (3 tables) to accept 12 guests at a time. 

Each group of guests is given their own space, which means that they do not intervene with other guests. A table for four is therefore an intimate culinary experience for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 12 people at a time. The visit is only possible by prior reservation via the online form, where guests can choose the number of dishes and describe possible allergies. Everything else is left to the team behind the Table for Four concept, Maja and Jure.

A Table For Four is open from Wednesday to Saturday for lunch (1pm, 2pm or 3pm) or dinner (7pm). For lunch, guests can not choose the number of dishes, as there is only a tasting menu with six courses, but they can choose the time. For dinner, on the other hand, you can not choose the time, but you can choose between three tasting menus - six, eight or ten dishes.
