New! Walk of Peace promotional video – a journey through the history of the WWI

A journey through the history of the WWI through the area of the Isonzo Front and all the way to the lower part of the Piave River. This is the Walk of Peace.

The promotional video was created within the Walk of Peace project, which aims to sustainably development the WWI heritage between the Alps and the Adriatic. The project is supported by the Interreg Italy-Slovenia, funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The video was produced by TinBob together with project partners. T

he aim of the project is to preserve, research and promote the tangible and intangible heritage of the WWI, which is of exceptional historical importance and a common heritage of the countries between the Alps and the Adriatic. It also aims at encouraging integration, upgrade and develop a new sustainable and culturally oriented tourist offer, based on attractive presentations of the Walk of Peace heritage and thematic trails.

The Walk of Peace is a hiking trail connecting more than 500 kilometers of picturesque landscapes between the Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea destroyed by WWI. Today these places represent a symbol of peaceful coexistence without borders. Part of the Walk of Peace are also themed trails related to the withdrawal of the Italian army in the Twelfth Isonzo Battle, in the Ragogne area, and heritage along the lower Piave River, where the front stabilized in the last year of the war.
