Autumn edition of the Restaurant Week: Book your table now!

This autumn, the Restaurant Week will be held 8 – 17 October.  The event gives Slovenian restaurants the opportunity to reward their regular guests for their loyalty and invite new ones to taste their excellent cuisine at affordable prices. 98 restaurants are participating in this year’s autumn edition, many of them are also listed in the latest Michelin Guide. The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) is involved in the promotional activities for this important culinary event, as gastronomy plays an important role in Slovenian tourism industry. Also, 2021 is marked by the European Region of Gastronomy title.

Reservations are open from today onwards. The price of a three-course meal is 19 euros, with the exception of the top-rated restaurants (3 or 4 hearts), where the special menu price is 21 or 25 euros.

On this occassion, Uroš Mencinger, who selects the participating restaurants, said: “The finest quality is derived from a rich tradition, whilst at the same time it must not remain in the past but rather tradition must be built upon. By emphasising and combining tradition and modernity, we wish to stress that both elements are of equal importance in contemporary cuisine.”
