Time Out on Slovenia's Michelin-awarded restaurants

A week before the announcement of the new Michelin starred restaurants in Slovenia, Time Out praises the current ones and describes Slovenia as a gourmand's heaven.

Time Out on Slovenia's Michelin-awarded restaurants

In her latest article for Time Out, journalist Lara Rasin praises Slovenian gastronomy and discusses Michelin-awarded restaurants. She claims that visitors to the eastern Adriatic region should "experience Croatia's as well as Slovenia's "delightful enograstromic scenes in one go". The article was released yesterday, which makes it a great introduction in the upcoming 2021 Michelin announcement of Slovenia's best restaurants (the event will be held on 23 September). She also mentiones "hard-to-match nature", which makes Slovenia, along with its gastronomy "an obligatory destination for anyone with an appreciation of food as an art form". The whole article is available here.

Let us recall: 2020 was a milestone when it comes to gastronomy in Slovenia: the first ever Michelin guide to Slovenia was unveiled, with six chefs awarded a total of seven Michelin stars and 52 restaurants included. What is more, the Slovenian Tourist Board launched a new website TasteSlovenia.si that tells the full story of gastronomy in Slovenia and pinpoints boutique stories of innovative Slovenian chefs and winemakers.
