Major high-profile sporting events to mark the upcoming weekend

Slovenia is a great host of high-profile sporting events. Just take a look at how many will take place this weekend:

• the World Cup in sport climbing in Kranj, where the world's best climber and gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, Slovenian Janja Garnbert, will also compete;
• the 16th edition of the FIG World Challenge Cup in Koper, where currently the best Slovenian gymnast Saša Bertoncelj, who is saying goodbye to his sports career at the end of this year, will participate;
• the 7th edition of Red Bull Goni Pony in Kranjska Gora, a unique retro holiday where cycling enthusiasts climb up to the top of Vršič with the legendary retro Pony fixed gear bike;
• the nineteenth edition of Triglav Triathlon Bled Bohinj, which will once again be marked by the European Youth Cup, where the best European juniors from 14 countries will compete.
• and WTT Youth Contender presented by I FEEL SLOVENIA, an international youth table tennis tournament in Otočec.

The Slovenian Tourist Board has supported and actively participated in major international sporting events for many years. Not only they represent an excellent opportunity to raise the visibility of Slovenia, they also showcase that Slovenia is a great outdoor destination, suitable for all kinds of sports and thanks to great infrastructure also for preparations of athletes.
