The Slovenia Green label can also be seen on the largest reservation platforms

Within the framework of the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism (GSST) and the Slovenia Green label, the STB strives to promote Slovenia as a green destination. This is why the STB partnered with the ETHYK platform, which enables special Slovenia Green labeling on the largest service booking platforms, such as Expedia, Booking.com and Hostel World. This will make it easier for users to find accommodation and tourism service providers who strive for a responsible attitude towards the environment. Also, the with this label, the sustainable attitude will be given greater visibility.

A survey conducted by Booking.com in 2020 showed that the demand for environmentally friendly accommodation is growing from year to year. As many as 82% of respondents said that a sustainable way of traveling is important to them, and 70% prefer to make a reservation if they know that accommodation takes care of a responsible attitude towards the environment.

Through the interface, the ETHYK platform facilitates the search and reservation of accommodation with sustainable or environmental certification on 16 different online platforms, including the largest, such as Expedia, Booking.com and Hostel World. The application will also enable guests to spend their vacation in Slovenia in an even greener way, as the Slovenia Green Accommodation label has already been acquired by more than 70 accommodation providers.
