The STB's "Time to #stayhome. Turn to nature and dream ” video story won the first place at the International Tourism Film Festival Africa 2021. The awards ceremony took place today in Cape Town, South Africa.

The International Tourism Film Festival Africa (ITFFA) honours all video content related to the tourism and travel industry.
Founded in 2019, by Caroline Ungersbock and James Byrne to honour and promote works with exceptional and innovative content created today on all continents and seen and used on various platforms. The STB's "Time to #stayhome. Turn to nature and dream ” video story won the first place at the International Tourism Film Festival Africa 2021. The awards ceremony took place in Cape Town, South Africa.

With the "Time to #stayhome. Turn to nature and dream" video, published in April 2020, the STB invited social media followers from abroad to dream about Slovenia and plan a visit in the future. The main message of the video was #StayHome so we can #TravelTomorrow. The emotional address instilled hope that we will soon be able to enjoy the natural beauties of Slovenia again. The video, prepared during the spring wave of the epidemic, used footage created for the Slovenia Green video, which shows Slovenia as a green destination with an emphasis on sustainable messages about green Slovenia.

With a video that reflects the values ​​of the I feel Slovenia brand, followers from abroad were invited to dream about Slovenia and plan a visit in the near future with a positive communication and a thoughtful story. Such awards and recognitions strengthen the recognition of Slovenia as a green, sustainable boutique destination. Following the official announcement on Feel Slovenia's social channels, the video just a few days it organically reached more than 300,000 online users. Basketball star and ambassador of Slovenian tourism Luka Dončić also shared it with fans on his personal Instagram and Facebook profile. The positive message of the campaign was echoed in many outstanding responses written in the comments by followers from all over the world:

"Definitely the most beautiful country in the world. ❤ I can't wait to visit it again"
“I visited Slovenia last summer and the video reminded me of the extraordinary moments I spent there. Such an amazing green country! "
"Once I found my love here, but it did not last. But the love for green Slovenia will remain forever."

The winning video was created by the production house TENT, headed by the internationally renowned photographer Ciril Jazbec. The video features scenes of relaxed and in-depth contact with the grassy ground, water, trees and local traditions, offering a picture of the future we want to return to. TheSTB's campaign #StayHome, #TravelTomorrow stood out among the multitude of other inspirational campaigns for its meditative atmosphere and sincerity.

THe video already won first place in the ETC-CIFFT 2020 competition among the participating European national tourism organizations for the best videos in the travel industry, organized by the International Committee of Tourist Film Festivals (CIFFT) together with the European Travel Commission (ETC). For the video, the STB also won The Golden City Gate Award at the ITB Berlin in March this year.
