A glamping resort for cyclists in Ribno
During the lockdown due to the epidemic, the Ribno Hotel was renovated. The hotel now boasts a new reception, a new dining room, and twenty renovated rooms. Also, in the forest next to the hotel, glamping huts for cyclists were built.
The Ribno cycling glamping will have 17 huts (currently there are 8), each with its own bicycle shed for four bicycles, connections for electric bicycles. They will also build a swimming pool. The hotel will also have a shared bicycle shed, bicycle laundry and bicycle workshop. An additional person will be employed to cover the area of cycling.
"Slovenian professional cyclists are our friends, so they will give us some of their souvenirs that will decorate the hotel," says Matija Blažič, the owner of the hotel.
Important changes are also expected in the field of cycling in Bled – from new road cycling connections, the most anticipated is of course the cycle path between Bled and Bohinj, which will be completed in 2023, and paths for mountain bikers will.
All this means a step forward in the sustainable development of Bled tourism and the implementation of one of the guidelines of the Strategy for Sustainable Development of Bled Tourism until 2025.
