Soča Valley among the best 10 destinations in Europe
In the selection of the European Best Destinations, Soča Valley ranked 9th among the best destinations recommended for visiting in 2021.
Earlier this year, European Best Destinations published a shortlist of 20 destinations that competed for the title of the best European destinations worth visiting in 2021. Among them was also the Soča River Valley, which was the only one on this list to represent Slovenia. More than 600,000 votes from 192 countries were cast on the organisation's website during the vote between January 20 and February 10.
No.1 European destination with the most votes was Portugal's Braga, followed by Rome (Italy), Cavtat (Croatia), Florence (Italy), Sibiu (Romania), Paris (France), the island of Kefalonia (Greece), Kotor (Montenegro) and in the ninth place Soča Valley, which received more than 30,000 votes.
