The project of presenting Slovenia, carried out by the Slovenian Tourist Board and the global media giant The New York Times in 2019, won the prestigious bronze award at the Native Advertising Awards 2021.

Slovenia received a bronze award in the Best Series of Sponsored Articles category. The winners, which were selected by the Native Advertising Institute, were announced on 27 January 2021 at the online awards ceremony. Among the award winners are media houses and creative agencies that stand out the most in the field of native advertising, both in print and digital campaigns.
The project of presenting Slovenia on the NYTimes.com website was carried out in 2019 within the MY WAY Global Digital Campaign. The campaign took place in 16 countries, including overseas markets in the United States and Canada. In line with trends, digital advertising has also included content marketing by placing content articles in some of the most important global media, including The New York Times.
The project with The New York Times was entitled Discover the treasures of Slovenia. It included two dynamic and content-rich articles about different parts of Slovenia: A trip through the wonders of Slovenia, which presented Alpine Slovenia and Mediterranean & Karst Slovenia; and Discover the treasures of Slovenia, where the Thermal Pannonian Slovenia and Central Slovenia with Ljubljana were exposed.
The project also included banner advertising on the NYTimes.com website and posts on their social media channels - Facebook and Twitter, leading to the articles that reached 48,594 readers during the campaign.
