An illustrated Family Map of Kamnik and its Surroundings

The medieval town of Kamnik nestled between the mighty peaks of Kamnik-Savinja Alps has got a new map to offer to its visitors. An illustrated Family Map of Kamnik and its surroundings has been designed for both locals and foreign guests who visit Kamnik and its surroundings and prefer to explore the region on their own. It offers an overview of the must-see attractions in the area, accompanied with numerous humorous inserts which give the map a special charm. 

The map doesn't follow the formal line of classical maps. Its essence is an illustration accompanied by shorter texts. The aim of the autors, renowned Slovenian illustrator Ivan Mitrevski and local tourist guide Irena Grmek, was to design a map that would be informative and instructive, but also practical, likable and »digestible«.

The map, which was co-financed by the Municipality of Kamnik, is available at the Kamnik Tourist Information Centre Kamnik and at many other locations around the town and its surroundings.
