New accommodation provider: Podsreda Castle
This week, the Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology Zdravko Počivalšek officially opened the long-awaited accommodation units at the Podsreda Castle.

Comfortable rooms and apartments with a total of 16 beds are a welcome addition to the offer of the Podsreda castle, which is becoming an increasingly recognizable provider of cultural, tourist and educational events in the Kozjansko Regional Park. This Thursday, the official opening ceremony took place.
The Podsreda castle, which is a monument of local importance and is owned by the Municipality of Kozje, lies in the area of Kozjansko Regional Park in eastern Slovenia. As the castle has seen an increase in visitors in recent years, the Municipality of Kozje, in order to increase the number of domestic and foreign guests, especially those interested in cultural heritage, preserved nature, peace and relaxation, decided to build accommodation units in the lower outbuilding of Podsreda Castle.
The Kozjansko Regional Park, a region in eastern Slovenia, is one of the oldest and largest protected areas in Slovenia. It represents a mosaic of the pre-Alpine Posavje Mountain Range, hills, and plains along the River Sotla.
