Thirteen years have passed since the opening of the Old Vine House at Lent in Maribor. 13th anniversary of the Old Vine House in Maribor

Visitors from all over the world, many visits by distinguished guests, year-round opening hours, the richest selection of excellent wines from the Štajerska region and one of the most visited tourist attractions in Maribor are just some of the outstanding features through which the Old Vine House keeps pace with the most important tourist sights in Slovenia. In 2019, the Old Vine House was visited by 56,500 visitors; next year, the visitors will be offered a novelty – a presentation of the story of the oldest vine in the world in digital form.

This year, however, the house of wine tradition and culture of Maribor, the Štajerska region and Slovenia is celebrating its anniversary in empty premises, without the daily hustle and bustle of visitors and without the company of numerous business partners. On this occasion the Maribor - Pohorje Tourist Board thanked all those who have participated in the creation of the successful wine and gastronomic story of Maribor and invited the general public to take a virtual tour of the Old Vine House during the May Day holidays.

In order for visitors to recreate their experience of getting to know the exceptional wines from the Štajerska region in the safe shelter of their homes , the Old Vine House offers as many as 144 different wines from the Štajerska wine-growing district in its online wine cellar.
