#StayHome campaign – Slovenian Tourist Board shares inspiring stories

Despite the uncertain situation brought on by the epidemic, there are still inspiring stories happening in tourism. Destinations, chefs and caterers, vendors of locally produced food, creators and other stakeholders of Slovenian tourism are looking for innovative solutions, interconnecting and providing for the population, many through charitable initiatives. At the Slovenian Tourist Board, we wish to support them in their efforts by specifically highlighting their stories and endeavours.

To this end, we are preparing social media posts and have also prepared a special Sharing Inspiring Stories landing page, where we will collect all posts and share more information on individual initiatives and providers.

The first initiative we want to share is the project Chef Uroš DRIVE HOME by chef Uroš Štefelin and Marcela Klofutar from the restaurant Vila Podvin. In collaboration with local suppliers, chef Štefelin prepares meals from a pre-published menu every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the restaurant’s kitchens and then delivers them to customers’ homes. Chef Štefelin also joined forces with other like-minded caterers and they encourage one another in these very trying circumstances. Together with other restaurants of the Taste Radol’ca brand, they are introducing a common name, Taste Radol’ca online, under which each restaurant will offer something of interest. "If you cannot visit us, we will visit you, each in our own way," says Marcela Klofutar.

Follow our social media, where you can find positive examples from your destination.
