Marketing and communication activities in the US market will be upgraded with the partnership with currently most high-profiled Slovenian basketball player Luka Dončić, who will present his home country as a sustainable tourist destination for boutique, five-star experiences tailored to the needs and wishes of an individual.
The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) has recently formalised the agreement on partnering up with Luka Dončić to promote Slovenia and Slovenian tourism. Activities include posts on his social profiles, photos and video statements to promote Slovenia as a tourist destination, design of a GIF and a hashtag, the use of his image in communication activities and visuals to encourage fan atmosphere in Slovenia and abroad, and the use of his image in adverts on social networks in connection with Slovenia.
With these activities, the STB will improve Slovenia’s visibility and reputation as a country of top athletes, an excellent host of large sporting events and for athletes’ preparations, and as a destination for active vacation in the American and global market.
The STB will also publish two adverts. One in the Official Game Program of the Dallas Mavericks, which will be available in the sports arena until 15 April 2020 and has about 650,000 readers, and the second advert in the NBA All-Star Game Program that will be available in the sports arena at the time of the NBA All-Star Game on 16 February. A digital version will also be available at hoop.nba.com. The publication is considered something special also because it is intended for collectors and reaches some 1 million readers.
