Thanks to the exceptionally talented Slovenian NBA basketball player Luka Dončić, the Dallas Mavericks will partner up with Slovenia for several promotional activities.
Luka Dončić is Slovenia's wonderboy, who surely made a lot for promoting its country in the world. This has also brought a very promising partnership with the Dallas Mavericks. Sport Media Focus has on the behalf of the Dallas Mavericks partnered with the Slovenian Government Communication Office, the Slovenian Tourist Board, the SPIRIT agency (a public agency for the promotion of entrepreneurship, internationalisation, foreign investment and technology) and Ljubljana Tourism Board in order to carry out promotional activities in relation to the game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets on 11 March 2020 and other team activities.
The partnership also promotes Slovenia’s national brand I feel Slovenia at 10 NBA home games in the 2019/2020 season and at 10 NBA home games in the 2020/2021 season, presents Slovenia as a country and as a tourist destination during halftime at an NBA game, at the promotional exhibition space and the event itself.
The main goal of the partnership is to increase Slovenia’s visibility by promoting the I feel Slovenia national brand, and to present the country as a unique destination with a plethora economic, investment and tourism opportunities.
Furthermore, the partnership can also be considered as a good example of connecting different players for good purpose and for reaching a common goal. Among the partners is also the AmCham Slovenia, which will help approach and establish contact with American companies. The business conference, which is to be held on 12 March 2020 in Texas, will create unique business opportunities for Slovenian and American companies.
