Short Distances Between Destinations

Few places in the world allow you to experience four different landscapes in a single day. From the capital Ljubljana, located in the heart of Slovenia, you can reach the coast or the Alpine peaks within an hour, or find yourself among the wine-growing hills of the Pannonian region in two. Travel options include buses, trains and a wide network of car rentals or car-sharing services.

Slovenia’s stunning natural environment is a national treasure, preserved in its most authentic form. Around two-thirds of the country is covered by forests and one-third consists of protected areas. This breath-taking scenery is perfect for outdoor activities and relaxation in unspoiled surroundings. You don’t need to travel far to find outstanding natural sports – often, they are just a step away from the city streets.
