1 kg flour

0.5 l lukewarm water

12 g yeast


3 tsp sugar

100 ml oil

400 g ground walnuts



Crumble the yeast into a cup, add a teaspoon of sugar and a little lukewarm water. Stir and let it activate. Put the sieved flour into a bowl and make a small well in the middle. Pour in the yeast mixture and oil, stir with the flour and add lukewarm water. If necessary, add water, depending on the type of flour. Knead the dough until it separates from the bowl. Let it rise for a while.

Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Pour hot milk over the ground walnuts to get a thick mixture and add 2 teaspoons of sugar. Roll out the dough and spread the filling on it, roll it, shape the bread and put it into a wicker bread basket to rise. Put the risen dough into the oven and bake for approximately an hour at 200°C.
