Visit Žalec and its beer fountain

In the Žalec town park, stop by an unusual fountain – not water, but beer flows from it. The fountain has eight taps, and currently you can taste six local beer varieties. All you have to do is buy a special beer glass with a chip at selected locations in Žalec and then use it to pour one decilitre of each local beer variety from each tap.

A wide array of experiences at Celjska Koča

Follow the locals and visit their favourite short hike destination. Go to Celjska Koča, which can also be reached by well-maintained hiking and biking trails. In winter, you can enjoy this popular family ski slope, and in warmer months, have fun at the Adrenaline Park, in a bob-cart, or explore the nature by walking on the Forest Trail or the Mushroom Picking Educational Trail. Activities at the City Park

Walk on the paths of the City Park that lead you along the River Savinja, past mighty trees, and carefully maintained green surfaces. Children can have fun at the playground, and those who seek recreation can enjoy the tennis courts or the ice rink in winter. The park is a popular starting point for hikers, as this is where the Heart Trail to nearby Anski Vrh Hill and Miklavški Hrib Hill (St Nicholas Hill) begins. From these two hills, you can enjoy a wonderful view of Celje and the surrounding area.
